For those of you who like harps (harmonicas that is), I just got my new harp tune worked up that I've always associated with this Celtic new year [Samhain time for you Celtic folk out there]. Dunmore Lasses is a lively tune, and yet has a mystical feel about it that I've always loved. Hope you do too. Visit my KelticDead Music site at www.kelticdead.com.

For those harmonica fans out there, I reworked my Keltic Dead website to take advantage of the YouTube technology a bit more. I'll be putting out more Celtic tunes with my diatonic harmonicas. My featured video at this time is Roddy McCorley. Great little tune. Hope you like it.
This past weekend, I was privileged to participate in the Frisco Arts Festival as a performer, service provider, and festival-goer. I have to say this is the best I’ve experienced out of a very long chain of great Frisco events. From fireworks to concerts to storytelling, the city seems to have done it all—but this one takes the prize.

I do hope your turnout showed great numbers, because I hope the CCSA can help provide entertainment for this event again!
I just wanted to thank Roger, Chris, Tony, Steve, Sam and Gary for contributing to such an excellent song critique circle on October 6. This is in no particular order, and their songs and critiques were wonderful as usual.
I just wanted to mention that this event is not just for beginners. I have been a performing songwriter for over 35 years and often facilitate/lead the event, as I did this time. Even so, I brought two new songs to be critiqued by the group. Not… Continue
I recently finished a song called Guyliner. Inside of the lyrics I have contained recent buzzwords like the titular "Guyliner", "Manscara", "Manscaping", and "Metrosexuality". Now, I've read how certain scholars and certain schoolteachers have a problem with this sort of remixing of component words and generating slang from these new compound words.
The problem is that this completely dismisses the creativity and out of the box thinking that comes with the evolution of society, but… Continue
